ILLUMINATING DEVASTATION: Mavranyma, or the life of matter

Not an accumulation but a symphony of rips: a way of working with splits and tears as if they were nooks of burning matter, flickering in threads through tiny cracks soaked in the earthy seat of the skeleton, if earth is the solid part of man. Patient work of torn frenzy, craft of tailors where the needle becomes the sewing machine, illuminating devastation. Gouging magma or bulbs out of every cut, Mavranyma investigates the very life of matter, and its verdant folds.

Mavranyma is an Italian slow fashion brand born in 2013. Communicating the value of sustainability, both artisanal and human, through the finished garment is the long-term objective that Mavranyma has always been aiming.
We strongly believe that now, the only way to be forward-thinking is to look at the rhythms of an artisanal and manual past. Finding the care to dedicate to an item of clothing is the deepest gesture of love towards an existence now in the hands of an industry full of ideas that no longer have the time or possibility to germinate.

All this philosophy translates itself into the refinement of the design and the care of human value that the garments preserve. Mavranyma introduces us to a world full of details and stories evoked by fabrics and textures that welcome us in remote times.

Fabrics and buttons are recovered from old warehouses, each tag is compiled by hand and decorated with vintage photographs researched over the years and chosen one by one.
